Tucked away in Kwun Tong, CHAO brings together Thai, Singaporean, and Vietnamese cuisines in a space defined by depth and discovery. What appears unassuming reveals a menu shaped by bold flavors, where lemongrass, spice, and charcoal set the tone for a layered dining experience.
Each dish reflects balance sweet, sour, salty, and spice guided by a philosophy that respects tradition while allowing room for expression. From vibrant street food classics to slow simmered broths, CHAO offers a journey across Southeast Asia that feels both rooted and alive.

Thai Singa Veit
The restaurant’s name “Chao” is inspired by the Thai word for “morning”, focusing on modern Southeast Asian cuisine, with a pet-friendly outdoor dining area featuring street hot pot dishes and a variety of noodle options, making every meal easy and enjoyable. The indoor main dining area can accommodate approximately 60 guests. The interior design is inspired by the essence of Thai restaurants, blending distinctive traditional elements with modern aesthetics, creating a comfortable and energetic atmosphere for both lunchtime breaks and evening gatherings. The outdoor platform uses sun umbrellas and rattan chairs to create a more relaxed atmosphere, especially suitable for families, gatherings of friends, and pet owners to enjoy a leisurely meal under the open sky.
